I'll do it with you.
It has been a roller-coaster ride at Teams, with more ups than downs. I started when we were a relatively new product in the market, one that was beginning to be noticed as Microsoft's bet on the future of work. It was exciting! Having worked in a different, more traditional Microsoft work environment in Skype and Office, this was a pleasant surprise.
Before Teams, I was on Skype for a short period. Working on a product I grew up using will always be special. Having my face appear as an emoji in the product felt great! Try typing (chirag).
From bedtime routines and connecting families to haptic interfaces and autonomous vehicles, I worked on various experiments during my master's program at CMU.
Back in India, I worked at Human Factors International. I'm not sure why they hired me since I had no background in designing digital interfaces (they saw that they could translate my industrial design skillset to digital products before I did). I went from "Can I do this?" to a Senior Human Factors Specialist working with clients from websites for the US city government to kiosks for Globe Telecom in the Philippines. I spent five months as an on-site consultant at Standard Bank in Johannesburg, South Africa.
An undergrad in industrial design is behind my love for tangible interaction. I was obsessed with chairs. Sketchbooks full of chairs.

Being in a state of play is my happy place. I love . Love Bjarke Ingels' work. Roadtrips. Orangetheory. Spicy food. Local art.
